Inspired by their visit to Ellicar, our Hertfordshire clients asked us to transform their overgrown plot into a timeless retreat beside their new Italianate villa. The centrepiece is a 25m x 2.5m natural swimming lane, paired with a wider, shallower zone for family recreation and lounging. A gently shelving beach and spacious sun deck make it ideal for all ages. Edged with Mediterranean-style gravel planting, aromatic herbs, and cypress trees, the pool mirrors the villa’s symmetry and connects seamlessly to the house. A timber walkway and concealed filtration deck add both beauty and practicality. Flowing paths, soft grasses, and playful features complete a biodiverse, elegant garden designed for swimming, nature, and outdoor living.
